This month we are certainly blushing, and it's not just because Valentine's Day is around the corner. But since Cupid is coming, why not take the opportunity to channel our inner chic. I like to incorporate elements of the fashion industry into my designs, and this Spring, I'm feeling quite colorful. I'm currently hooked on the soft and sultry vibes evoked from this dusty shade of rose, otherwise known as blush. Check out some of these inspirations and ideas that will have you blushing, too.

Blush Tones

Soft shades of blush have a beautiful way of blending into a room. While anything in the pink family may be daunting, there are many neutral tones to choose from, like champagne blush. Imagine painting a powder room, laundry room, or closet in one of these tones.

Leathered Blush

Not only are there a variety of blush color tones, we also have access to a variety of textures available through Kate Designs. Transform these textures into a wall covering or chair seat and set your home apart!

Fabrics & Textures

My hand selected blush fabrics would make for beautiful benches, chairs, or even a sofa. For a look of luxury, try the champagne luxe velvet fabric. If you're feeling romantic in the name of Cupid, go for the Blush Desire, a silky pickum brushed cotton. For a traditional vibe, our Sake Glazed Herringbone is for you.

Takeaway Tip: Don't be afraid to mingle the blush with other tones, textures, metals, and colors. I love the ultra vintage vibe that rose gold and blush achieve together, while pairing it with grey or black creates a smooth contrast as well.

Until Next Time,
